Woodblock Prints
I love the physicality of woodblock printing. The nature of this medium forces the artist to carve out any world they fantasize. Through my own process I find comfort in creating another translation of the raw material itself, wood. My work typically highlights the simplistic yet timeless beauty of the tree. You will also see a laser cut woodblock which wonderfully translates my detailed geometric drawings from my sketchbook illustration series. Intaglio Prints
A more sophisticated method of printmaking the intaglio process manipulates a copper plate through numerous engravings and acid baths to create a variety of textures.
